Loans for Dairy & Poultry Farmers

The Kisan Credit Card extends to animal husbandry - dairy, poultry, sheep, goats and other small ruminants - as working capital for rearing rather than for crops. Two features do most of the work. First, a 2% interest subvention is available at disbursement, with a further 3% incentive on prompt repayment, so the effective cost depends on repayment behaviour rather than only on the sanctioned rate. Second, collateral is waived up to ₹2 lakh and up to ₹3 lakh where there is a tie-up arrangement - for dairy that tie-up is typically with a milk union, which means routing your milk sale through a union changes your borrowing terms and not just who buys the milk. As with fisheries, eligibility rests on owning or leasing the shed and animals rather than on a salary slip.

Exclusive Advantages

Why Dairy & Poultry Farmers Get Better Rates

2% Subvention at Disbursement

An interest subvention of 2% is available at disbursement under the animal husbandry KCC arrangement, reducing the cost from the sanctioned rate.

3% Prompt Repayment Incentive

A further 3% incentive applies on prompt repayment, so borrowers who keep the account regular pay materially less than those who do not.

Tie-Up Raises the Collateral Threshold

Collateral is waived up to ₹2 lakh, and up to ₹3 lakh where there is a tie-up arrangement - for dairy this is typically with a milk union.

Working Capital, Not Just Asset Finance

The KCC facility meets short-term credit needs for rearing - feed, veterinary care and cycle costs - rather than only financing the purchase of animals.
